Biography:
A key part of the Seattle Sounders team that reached the Soccer Bowl in 1977, Mike Ivanow was a regular in goal for the United States in 1973, earning eight of his 10 caps that year.
National Team Highlights:
1975: Won his last cap on Mar. 26th against Poland.
1974: Played against Mexico on Sept. 5th, one of only two games scheduled that year.
1973: Earned his first cap as a substitute on March 10th against
Bermuda. Got his first start three days later against Poland in Lodz.
Recorded his first shutout on Aug. 5th against Canada.
Professional Highlights:
1981: Spent a final season with Seattle.
1979: Returned to Seattle after missing the 1978 season and had one of
his best years, finishing fourth in goals against average at 1.39.
